I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
